Not sure if user-growth is really the yardstick to measure Facebook by. The real risk is that user engagement drops off, maybe because people realize the havoc it wreaks in their brain or maybe if authorities finally step in to at least protect children and teenagers.
A lot of focus was on "fake news" and misinformation problems but I think at some point we'll see pressure on the Helen Lovejoy ("Think of the children") side.
